Finding Joy: How to Bring Joy into Your Life
Finding Joy and gratitude is the hope of everyone in their life. If you have a long list of to-dos and a lot of bills to pay, this can seem like an overwhelming task. But guess what? Finding joy is leagues different from “being happy.” Being happy is based on a mood and on circumstances, joy is being in the present moment, inviting you to open your heart while enjoying all that this life has to offer.
Joy can co-exist with sorrow, happiness, shame, doubt, depression, any emotion you can think of. It is, in these moments, that it is most important to find joy. Find joy in the soft ears of a dog, in the laugh of your grandchild, in the beautiful colors of an orchid. Live compassionately, with humor and a twinkle in your eye.
You don’t need good news, or happy circumstances to feel joy. Cultivate an inner landscape where joy can bloom. Let go of anger, envy, and regret.
